Stuffed Animal Beanbags

Camille has a way too many stuffed animals so Katie found a solution on Pinterest - using a beanbag cover for stuffed animal storage.  After researching the prices online and being disgusted, we took a trip to the fabric store.  CJ decided he wanted one too so I let them pick out their fabric.

The fabric is cut into 6 panels...

and then sewn together using velcro as the closure.

When sewn together, there is a hole at the top and bottom.

An applique' is made from the fabric and used to close the top and bottom.

Then the stuffing begins!!

Now we have a bean bag!!

Camille's 1st bean bag and leftover stuffed animals.

And her second bean bag.  This one even had room for all her extra blankets!  She is thrilled to now have a "reading corner" and I'm thrilled to not see 5,000,000 stuffed animals.

Easter Cross

I saw something similar to this on Pinterest and decided to make one myself.

I went to Hobby Lobby and bought twigs (already had green leaves on it) and flowers, florist wire, nests and eggs.

I cut and positioned the twigs and then secured them with the florist wire.

Camille hot glued 3 eggs (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) into the nest and then cut the flowers off the main stem.

I wove the flowers into the twigs and then attached the nest to the center with the wire. It only took us about 20 mintues. It turned out bigger than I planned, but it still looks great.
